American Express Co. has announced its inaugural business credit card release in Nigeria, a collaboration with local neobank O3 Capital. This partnership aims to enhance access to foreign currency in the country, catering to businesses’ financial needs.

The unveiling of this new product occurred in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial hub, with the business card featuring a $10,000 spending limit and a repayment window of up to 45 days for international transactions.

Mohammed Badi, Amex’s President of Global Network Services, expressed enthusiasm about this milestone, stating, “The first-ever American Express Business Card in the most populous African country will give us another way to support local businesses with their growth aspirations. American Express is excited to continue to strengthen its presence in Nigeria and expand its reach across Africa.”

By launching this credit card, American Express is paving the way for enhanced financial opportunities for Nigerian businesses and signaling a deeper commitment to the African market.
